Winterfest is the largest youth rally hosted by the churches of Christ in the country. Each year, over 12,000 (yes, you read that right, 12 thousand) teenagers descend upon Gatlinburg. The programming consists of concerts, dynamic worship experiences, entertainers, and most importantly, great, Bible-centered lessons from talented speakers. The weekend challenges teenagers to examine their spiritual lives and encourages them to live out their faith. During the down time, the teens are free to explore Gatlinburg. They are required to stay in groups and an adult chaperone will be assigned to know where they are.
The main purpose of this trip is to expose the teens to the message of the Bible in a fun, relevant, yet challenging presentation. A secondary purpose is for the group to bond with each other and to make Christian friends from other churches all over the country.
