What is it that David Henniger does at Summerville as the associate minister? When asked he usually smiles and says "everything nobody else wants to, but I love it!"
Realistically though he is the director of the Summerville Church of Christ Counseling Center, where he dedicates a good portion of his week to counseling and therapy as well as organizing and keeping up with the rest of the center
He is also a member of the worship committee and helps to direct issues concerning this, as well as leading worship on a weekly basis
David is also the director of "Fellowship Groups" a small group oriented program that helps people to get "plugged in" as well as develop relationship with other people.
He is also responsible for filling in for David Clayton, when he is not preaching.
Each Sunday morning he teaches the YMF (Young Marrieds Fellowship) and helps to direct the individual events of that group.
Other key roles that he is involved in are: Putting together class 101-401; Advertising and Marketing for Bridge Events; Putting together and Maintaining our New Members Brochures; Reaching out to new visitors, Helping to plug in New members; organizing our ":world outreach Mission" (which began this year down in Jinotega Nicaragua); Establishing and helping to lead our YOUng Men's Right of Passage Group that teaches our older teens (many of them now men) how to act authentically as a Christian Man; Planning and implementing the yearly Ministry Fair to raise awareness of the different ministries that we have going on; developing Sunday morning song service, and finally certainly last, but not least, putting together the power point, and other technologies for a more positive worship experience |
